1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Kashogie Primus Limited ("Kashogie", "we", "us"), the operator of the platform. You accept these Terms by registering, by ticking the "I agree" checkbox at sign-up, or by using any part of the service. If you accept on behalf of a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Eligibility

• Parents and guardians must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make bookings.
• Students under 18 may use Kashogie only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, through profiles created and managed by that parent (or through the parent-issued invitation flow). By permitting a minor to use the service, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf.
• Teachers must be legally permitted to provide tutoring services and must be at least 18 years old.
• You must provide your real first and last name and a valid email address at registration. Accounts registered with false identity information may be suspended.

3. Description of Our Services

Kashogie is an all-in-one educational platform. It offers: (a) a marketplace that connects parents and students with independent teachers — including search and matching tools, booking and scheduling, an in-app virtual classroom, messaging, session tracking, and payment processing; (b) AI-powered learning tools, including the AI Math Solver, which provides step-by-step explanations, and AI-assisted quizzes and practice; and (c) KaaS (Kashogie-as-a-Service), our managed service offering for schools and institutions, where and when made available.

Kashogie is a facilitator, not a school or an employer. Teachers on the platform are independent service providers, not employees or agents of Kashogie. The tutoring arrangement itself is between the parent (and student) and the teacher.

4. User Accounts and Registration Obligations

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering (including your real first and last name) and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Use only one account per person and do not transfer or sell your account to anyone else.
• Notify us promptly through the Contact page if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

5. Teacher Obligations and Conduct Standards

As a teacher on Kashogie, you agree to the following conduct standards. Breach of these standards may result in removal from the platform and, where relevant, withholding of payouts pending investigation.

• Submit truthful identity and qualification documents for verification, and keep your profile (subjects, rates, availability, location) accurate and current.
• Respond to booking requests within a reasonable time. Paid bookings that receive no response are automatically expired and fully refunded to the parent.
• Prepare for and deliver sessions you have accepted, on time and professionally, online (via the in-app classroom) or in person as agreed in the booking.
• Teachers must have reliable power and internet for online bookings or for online sessions in hybrid bookings.
• Report delivered physical and hybrid sessions accurately through the session-reporting feature. Parents are asked to confirm each report within 48 hours; reports left unconfirmed are confirmed automatically. Deliberately misreporting sessions is a serious violation.
• Maintain a safe and appropriate teaching environment, particularly when teaching minors. Never share or expose inappropriate content, and never arrange to meet a student outside the arrangements booked and recorded on the platform.
• Communicate respectfully with parents and students, and complete post-session materials and evaluations honestly.

6. Parent and Student Obligations

• Parents create, manage, and consent to their children’s profiles, and are responsible for their children’s use of the service.
• Parents have the responsibility to review the contents their kids are being exposed to and report any unhealthy contents not permissible to a child immediately.
• Ensure the student attends booked sessions, or end the arrangement through the app rather than silently abandoning bookings.
• Review and confirm (or dispute) teacher session reports within the 48-hour confirmation window shown in the app. Reports that are not disputed within the window are confirmed automatically.
• Keep payment methods and wallet funding sufficient for recurring bookings you maintain. If a recurring charge fails, resolve it within the grace period shown in the app to avoid the booking ending.
• Communicate respectfully with teachers and our support team.

7. Bookings, Payments, and Refunds

A booking is an arrangement between a parent and a teacher for one or more students. Kashogie facilitates scheduling, delivery tracking, and payment. All prices, including any platform surcharge, are displayed before you pay. Recurring bookings are charged according to the billing cycle you select at checkout.

• Pending bookings: a teacher who never responds — the booking automatically expires and the parent receives a full refund.
• Rejected bookings: if a teacher declines a paid booking, the parent receives a full refund.
• Ended bookings: if an accepted, paid booking is terminated partway through a paid period, the parent receives a pro-rata refund for the undelivered sessions, less the teacher’s share already earned under the payout model in section 8. The refund breakdown is calculated and displayed in the app.
• Failed recurring charges: if a recurring charge fails, the booking remains active for the grace period shown in the app so the student keeps access while the payment issue is resolved. If it is not resolved by the end of the grace period, the booking ends.
• Refunds are processed back to the original payment method or wallet, as applicable, and may take your payment provider’s standard processing time to appear.

8. Teacher Commissions and Payouts

Teacher earnings use a proportional unlock model. When a booking is first paid, 100% of the teacher’s net earnings for that period is locked. Half unlocks as soon as you accept the booking; the remainder unlocks pro-rata as sessions are delivered and confirmed. A session that a parent disputes unlocks nothing until our team resolves the dispute. This model exists so that earnings are only released for sessions actually delivered and confirmed.

Payouts are made to the payout method and details you configure in your teacher dashboard. You are responsible for the accuracy of those details and for any taxes due on your earnings. Kashogie may withhold payouts while a dispute, fraud concern, or policy investigation is pending, and may release earnings administratively when a session completed outside the standard flow is verified.

9. Platform Fees and Commission Disclosure

Kashogie charges teachers a commission on session earnings, and may apply a service surcharge to parents at checkout. The exact amounts are always disclosed before payment — on booking cards and on the checkout page — before you are charged. Fee rates may change from time to time; a change applies to charges processed after the change, not to periods already paid.

10. Prohibited Conduct

When using Kashogie, you must not:

• Share contact details, or solicit or accept bookings, outside the platform in order to avoid platform fees or platform protections — including taking a relationship that started on Kashogie off-platform to circumvent payment.
• Use abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or sexual language, or send inappropriate content of any kind, especially toward minors.
• Attempt to bypass the platform’s payment system for bookings, subscriptions, or any service originated through Kashogie.
• Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the sessions you delivered.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of child-protection laws, or interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
• Copy, scrape, or resell platform content or data without permission.

11. Monitoring of Communications

Messages sent through Kashogie (including attachments) may be reviewed — through automated safety screening and, where a report or flag warrants it, by our team — for child safety, fraud prevention, and compliance with these Terms. We do not routinely read private conversations, and monitoring is not a guarantee against prohibited conduct. Do not share sensitive financial or personal information in chats beyond what your booking requires.

12. Intellectual Property

You keep ownership of the content you create or upload — teacher profiles and materials, blog posts, messages, images, and evaluations. You grant Kashogie a limited licence to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the service for you (for example, showing your materials to students in your classes).

The Kashogie platform itself — its design, branding, code, and materials — belongs to Kashogie Primus Limited and may not be copied or reused without permission. Materials a teacher shares with you are for your personal learning use only and may not be redistributed or republished.

13. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern, contact our support team first through the Contact page or in-app support — most issues are resolved this way. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, the parties will attempt good-faith negotiation, and any unresolved dispute shall be referred to binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, conducted in accordance with Nigerian law. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief where appropriate.

14. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep Kashogie accurate and available, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any particular tutor will deliver a particular result, or that any learning outcome will be achieved. Teacher verification is a screening step, not a guarantee of a teacher’s conduct or performance.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kashogie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the total fees you paid through the platform in the twelve months before the claim arose. The tutoring sessions themselves are arrangements between the teacher and the parent, and each party is responsible for its own side of that arrangement.

16. Termination of Accounts

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile Settings. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel bookings or subscriptions you have already paid for — end those arrangements in the app first where possible. Kashogie Primus Limited reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete any account that violates these Terms or our platform policies, with or without prior notice in cases of serious violations. If your account is suspended, we will tell you the reason and the steps required to reinstate it where practicable, and you may appeal the suspension by contacting our support team through the Contact page. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 8, 10–13, and 15) remain in effect.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes we may also notify registered users by email or in-app. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts and arbitral bodies of Lagos, Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter arising from them. If you have questions about these Terms, contact us through the Contact page or the email below.
